Skyrim is a large, open world with so much to explore, which means players often miss the hidden locations of Solstheim.
wDragonbornDLC forThe Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, players are moved to the island of Solstheim. As everywhere inSkyrim, you can find many hidden events and places on the island. Exploring the island also gives players the chance to learn more about the different factions on Solstheim.

Solstheim was the place forElder Scrolls IIIDLC, adds more for fans of the series. Over therethere are many hidden placesand references for the player to find, so set up camp at Raven Rock and get ready to explore.
Updated February 24, 2022 by Erik Petrovich: Although the Dragonborn DLC is almost as old as the Skyrim base game, the island of Solstheim is still home to many mysterious locations that many players have never seen before. Some of these locations are only accessible through the Black Books, which teleport players to Apocrypha for a type of test, while others are only accessible in the Anniversary Edition of the game, released in 2021. Many of Solstheim's secrets are off the beaten path from the main Dragonborn questline, but others require players to deviate significantly from the path to find them, such as Giant Nirnroot Island. It's a good thing that Solstheim provides some of the most scenic views in the game on long walks.
10 The gigantic Isle of Nirnroot
There is a set of islands in the northeastern part of Solstheim. On the northernmost island there are six giant plants with kidney roots. They are on the islandthree Spriggansand a dead alchemist. The nirn root on the island gives the player three samples of each selected plant, which gives more.
This island is a reference toOblivion,where you can find four nirn roots scaled to the player's height. There is also an East Empire Company safe on the island where players can find another collectible.
9 Hofhule
Area added withSkyrim Anniversary Editionis Court Cave on the edge of Raven Rock. It is the center of the creation and mission of Ghosts of the Tribunal, which takes players on a journey into the distant past to discover the fate of the legendary trinity Almalexia, Sotha Sil and Vivec - the former living rulers of the Dark Elves.
The cave is located just above Raven Rock and contains a system of winding caves that connect rooms related to the court and its heritage. Creation also adds varietyMorrowind- thematic items and stories, craftinga must-have for any long-time fanzElder scrollshe wanted to be.
8 Flying Wizard
Players can find e.gBosmer wizardin the wilderness of Solstheim. He will tell the player that he has created a new spell that makes him fly. He drops it and seems to succeed. But things take a turn for the worse and the sorcerer falls to his death.

This is a reference to the Bosmer wizard found inMorrowind.The magician thought he had discovered a spell that would allow him to levitate, but he suffered the same fate as the wizardDragonborn.
7 The unlucky miner
West of Brodir Grove, players can find the body of a dead miner. You can find a Dunmer miner crushed by rock and ore from a cart. It seems that he was near his camp and the wagon overturned as it went up the hill.
Although a sad sight to stumble upon, players can find five gold ores near the cart, two emerald geodes, two gold ore veins, and a locked cash register with assorted loot. It's not like the miner needs the loot.
6 Riekling Island
Near the island with the giant Nirnroot is another island inhabited by Rieklings. It is located in the northeastern part of Solstheim and requires players to swim to it. There is a medium-sized Riekling camp on the island.
There is also another East Empire Company box on the island which allows players to find another collectible to return to for a side mission that can be started in Raven Rock.
5 Optional black books
There are two black books that players must interact with to progress to the main storyDragonbornDLC, but there are actually five more to be found in Solstheim. Each offers a selection of unique permanent bonuses or abilities at the end of a short episode of Apocrypha, Realm of Hermaeus Mora.

Hidden Twilight is located on Tel Mithryn. The Sallow Regent is located in the White Ridge Barrow, in the northern part of Solstheim. Winds Of Change is located in Bloodskal Barrow north of Raven Rock. Finally, the Untold Legends are in the Riekling Benkingerike cave, just outside the Word of Power.
4 Stara farma Attiusa
Old Attius Farm can be found right next to Raven Rock. Players will encounter Captain Veleth as he battles the Ash Spawn. Because of the combat and the mission that follows it, players aremore than likely it will passthis location up. Players can find some good things in the farm.
Players can find a full set of bone armor in the yard, found on a dead Redoran guard. Players can also find ash yams in the farm, which gives them a unique food item.
3 Strange ship
Heading northwest from the Temple of Mirak, players will encounter a place called Moesring Pass. The area is inhabited by Rieklings who guard what appears to be a crashed Dwemer airship. It appears to be based onPatchwork airshipzMorrowind,covered by snow over time.

Inside the airship, players can find two chests, one of which has an Old Norse design. Also near where the Rieklings are set up is a safe from the East Empire Company, giving players another collectible to return.
2 Solstheim Dragehøj
On the same group of islands where Nirnroot and Rieklings can be found, there is a dragon cairn. It is located in the northeastern part of Solstheim, giving players a dragon to fight if they stumble upon this location. This will give players another dragon soul to reuse in Miraak battle.
Horkers can also be found on the island. Aside from the dragon soul, there isn't much loot to be found. There is a leveled locked chest and a skeleton right next to the chest.
1 Usha camp
Players following the stream north of Ashfallow Citadel will encounter a locked wooden gate. Jumping over the gate will reveal the camp of a dead Argonian named Usha. There are several empty bottles of Skooma around Usha's corpse, as well as a letter that gives an insight into Usha's past.
Players can find the East Imperial Company's chest of drawers, as well as some gold ore. There is also a chest that players can loot from.Players can use this locationto get some supplies or get some Skooma to sell for extra gold.
